Actually I will make a post about this. Please spell hawai‘i properly, with the ‘okina, which is a glottal stop that changes the pronunciation of a word! The ‘okina looks like a backwards apostrophe and sounds like a hiccup. There are other hawaiian words that are commonly spelled without the ‘okina, like the name of the island lāna‘i, but retaining the proper spelling and making an effort to pronounce hawaiian words properly helps preserve the hawaiian ‘ōlelo :)
